Urgent help is very much appreciated. My software is safe and you can ignore the warning.First you need to click "More Info", which causes a second button labeled "Run Anyway" to appear. In 7.x versions there where provisions to remove runtime engine by this method. Maybe you should replair the LabVIEW 2011 installation.

My app doesn't use any NI hardware. Do you mean it does not show up under additional installer already? If your application does not need these, you should be able to use the smaller installer. I would like to do a proper uninstall and not just delete the folder. 2-In case I can't do this maybe someone can tell me the chances of the smaller run-time My issue is that there seems to be some remnants of the RTE 2012 left on my build machine after I go thru Windows 7 Remove Software operation. The build machine has labview2011 installed (there's definitely some weirdness here but I need to coord w/the folks who did the install to get more detail) but when I went to The requested resource is not found. How does the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine install with an Application Builder installer? That should uninstall the LabVIEW runtime engine for you. The problem is that the LV8.5 run-time doesn't appear in "Add/remove programs" -not in the main list or under NI software. I get an error saying that RTE2011 will not install since there's a more recent RTE installed.
With the LabVIEW Professional Development System, use the Application Builder in a LabVIEW Project to create an installer file.
