Sometimes an update to the OS will hang and enter an endless loop of Install>Fail>Remove>Reinstall, all automatically without any options to stop the loop. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! You are my hero!

Unfortunately, it looks like I hae system restore turned off, as the computers says ther's no restore point to access. Once started, it downloaded 157 updates which are installing now.
